Pitnacree Cottage is a cosy centrally-heated cottage, with a wood burning stove in the lounge. A large secure garden surrounds the house, which contains a paved patio and a burn at the bottom of a slope, accessed through a gate and by stepped path.
The cottage has four bedrooms, three upstairs and one on the ground floor, sleeping up to 7 adults, plus cot. It has a large sitting room with patio doors, and separate dining room. The kitchen also has a less formal dining area. There is a family bathroom with bath, shower and WC upstairs, and a shower room with a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC on the ground floor. The cottage is non-smoking.
Balmacara Square, set around the pretty village pond, has it’s own cafe, gift shop and National Trust for Scotland Visitor Centre. There are wonderful coastal and woodland walks from the cottage, and for the more serious hill walker, the Five Sisters of Kintail, and the Cuillin and Torridon mountains are within easy reach by car. There are excellent places to eat locally— in Balmacara, Plockton, Kyle, Isleornsay and Broadford. Further information is provided within the cottage to help make the most of your valuable time on holiday.
Dogs welcome by prior arrangement (£10 per dog per week). It should be noted that as the garden is bounded by croft land that may contain horses and sheep, dogs must be kept under control. The garden is fenced (~4 feet high) all around. Dogs must not be left alone in the house, shed or garden.
